Very nice food and a great selection of wines.

Simply Wow

Beefeater Moor Mill

Smug Oak Ln, Bricket Wood, Colney Street, Radlett AL2 3PN, UK – 01727 875557

Bring along, or get change from the bar and you can feed pellets to the swans, mallards, geese, coots etc. Pub food is decent. You can see the mill in action, plenty of parking. A hotel chain is adjacent too. So is great if travelling with work, or youve had a few drinks and cant drive home. Friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.

Had an enjoyable Sunday lunch at Moor Mill. The setting lives up to the name, with a picturesque setting, in quite a secluded spot. The meal was well cooked, with a good offer of 99p for extra roast potatoes and extra Yorkshire pudding. Starters, which are discounted with ordering the aforementioned roast. Most of the starters are small, but sufficient and represents a good value. The meat was tasty (both chicken and beef) and they make a good Yorkshire. Whilst we were waiting for the main course, we overhead the chef telling the staff that there were no more roasts, as they'd run out of potatoes. The only thing knocking a star off was the staff. They were polite, but not warm and friendly. I had the feeling of being an inconvenience, rather than valued customer. A smile can go a long way.

15 Haseldine Rd, London Colney, St Albans AL2 1RR, UK – 01727 568360

I went here for the first time on a Friday night with a group of friends. There were five of us in total. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the food was delicious. Most of us had pizza, which was freshly made on the premises and very yummy. There was a nice variety of cocktails some of which were made with fresh fruit puree. Really nice attention to detail.

Went here for brunch with a friend and my skinny caramel latte was amazing, as was the granola with yoghurt and fruits. It could have done with a bit more yoghurt in it but apart from that it was well worth going to. I was surprised at how busy it was considering it was a Sunday late morning but clearly it's popular and I can understand why. Staff are friendly and our food came very quickly. Definitely worth going to again.
